 The Sizzix Personal Diecut Machine has very few moving parts which increases its durability. The sturdy construction of this 15 pound machine keep it in place and do not cause undue stress on the diecut machine. The most frequently problematic part of the Sizzix Machine is the replacement pad. The Sizzix Replacement Pad needs to be replaced often to ensure unmarred diecuts. The replacement pad is made of a plastic type material and depending on the force you use with the Sizzix Personal Diecut Machine, may create scars on the pad. The increase the life of your replacement pads, use only as much pressure as needed with your machine. If you find you are not getting clean cuts, add a shim to the underside of the replacement pad and try again. The Sizzix Machine is durable and the same machine has lasted this paper crafter over 5 years of healthy diecutting. It is still in my craft closet and will remain probably until the end of time. |
